LANSING, NY (607NewsNow) — Tompkins County Sheriff Derek Osborne is responding to recent allegations.

Osborne dismisses claims of mismanagement made by earlier this month on 607 This Morning on 870AM/97.7 News Talk WHCU by Jared Bentley, who’s running against him.

Bentley also said the Sheriff’s office is short by 30 officers, which Osborne is disputing.

Osborne is running for a third term. Bentley announced his independent campaign for sheriff earlier this year.
