What to know about Cortland County Safe Passing Law

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — The Cortland County Legislature has passed a new law that addresses safety on the road.

The Cortland County Safe Passing Law clearly defines a safe distance between vehicles and ‘vulnerable road users,’ Legislator Beau Harbin says.

Harbin also explained to 607 News Now how the county defines vulnerable road users.

The Cortland County Safe Passing Law will go into effect once it’s filed with New York State.
