Art Classes Lead to Better Academic Performance!

If your kid is struggling in history class you might want to make sure they’re not cutting art class.

George Mason University researchers followed a group of pre-school students until they reached middle school, and found a link between being enrolled in the arts and better academic performance in the same year, and even years later.

It’s not clear exactly why this link exists, though.

The benefits of the arts is not a new theory, but as arts programs are getting cut in schools, it’s important to continue studying how the arts benefit the brain.
