Kids love toys, but how can you stop them from crying for a new one every time you leave the house?
One tip is to remember to be resilient and keep in mind while it’s uncomfortable to experience your child acting unhappy or upset you have to just go with it as long as they aren’t in any danger.
Another tip is to remind your child that they’ll eventually get a new toy, and also to ask them if they have any toys that are willing to let go of (to be donated.)
Another tip a mom offers is to make it clear to your kids that toys are only bought at Christmas and for birthdays, so kids shouldn’t beg for random toys any time they’re in a store.
Others suggest putting toys away and taking them out on rotations so some seem new; setting expectations before entering a store; or encouraging your kid to make a wish list of stuff they see that they could potentially get as a gift for another occasion.
