Researchers from the Chalmers University of Technology have created a fabric that can generate electricity from your body heat…meaning you could one day own a hoodie that charges your phone.

The material, which is a coated silk yarn made without metals, can be washed and stretched without breaking.

“There are fantastic opportunities in thermoelectric textiles and this research can be of great benefit to society,” Professor Christian Müller said.
