Reading to your child is a great idea, but does it make a difference if it’s from a traditional book or from an e-book?
University of Michigan research shows that parents and kids both verbalized less and interacted less with e-books compared to print books. Parents tended to talk less about the story and more about the technology itself when reading the e-books.
The experts say if you’re going to read your toddler an e-book make sure you keep interacting with your child the same way you would if it were a printed book.
