Facebook to Start Banning ‘Likes’

Facebook has confirmed that they will be the next major platform to start hiding other users’ likes.

The platform says that they’d like to ban likes in order to make users feel happier and less self conscious online.

With the new feature, instead of a number of “likes” being shown, they are all lumped together under “other.”  Users can still like other people’s photos, they just can’t see how many likes the photo has.

According to Daily Mail, the new feature will be rolled out in July 2020.
