A Harvard study suggests you can turn back time by being less stressed. This impact can be seen within days, according to researchers.
The team measured real-life stressful events like surgery, pregnancy, or illness in both humans and mice. Biological age rose in response to stress, but settled down after the event.
“When the stress was relieved, biological age could be fully or partially restored,” the team wrote. “The biological age of humans and mice is not static nor steadily increasing, but undergoes reversible change.”
A separate study showed that cutting calorie intake by 25% over two years can reduce the rate of aging.
