LULLABIES ARE BENEFICIAL TO BABIES:

Singing soothing songs to your baby can have big benefits, finds a new study. To find this, British researchers monitored the heart rates and signs of pain of 37 babies in a hospital as their parents sung them lullabies. Researchers say the lullabies reduced the babies’ heart rates and the amount of pain they were in. Researchers say they think the calming tones of the lullabies ease pain by distracting the children from their illness. Previous U.S. research has shown that infants in intensive care units put on more weight and were discharged more quickly after being played lullabies.(Daily Mail)
