Women More Stressed Than Men? You Don’t Say!!

Stress is a feeling we all try to avoid, and a new survey finds women and men react to the tension of modern life very differently.

The Physiology Society in the U.K. spoke to 2,000 people and found the greatest difference was between the fear level that men and women feel over terrorism, followed by serious illness, moving, and money problems.

The narrowest gap was the birth of a first child. The most stressful event for both genders was the death of a spouse or relative, and the idea of imprisonment or flooding.

The most common worries involved driving, with breakdowns, heavy traffic and road rage all being concerns.

And the next most common worries centered around work, particularly job applications and interviews.

Study leaders say the fact that women are more stressed out could have a real impact on their health.
